Last night I got home from a couple of days away to find that a fuse had tripped. Went straight to the fish tank to find them all belly-up. Approx 20 trout (8 of these ready to eat - we were planning to catch and BBQ these on Saturday with friends) and a few small SP and catfish. I'm still not sure what had happened but most of my water had dissappeared??? There was enough water to cover my pump, and a bit in the grow beds. I couldn't find any evidence of a leak anywhere. I have a small fountain pump which sits on a platform that was high and dry, I havent checked this to see if this had tripped the fuse.
I scooped out the fish and added a bit of water and have restarted the main pump, all seems to be well. I think I have saved most of the plants except for a couple of tomatoes and some cucumber seedlings.
I'm at work today so I cant investigate further.
I wont be in Adelaide for most of the year (announcement coming soon) and I didn't know what to do with the AP when I was gone. I guess this has made up my mind. Not a good way to end the year.

Fish definitely die from no O2?
Wasn't some electrical leak to earth via water that tripped the fuse?
-be careful electricity-wise for a while methinks.

Got home tonight and had another look, still cant find out where all of the water went :? Perhaps it evaporated when I wasn't looking, but it would have been about 1000 litres in 1 week and that seems a bit excessive as it wasn't that hot here and the tank is in shade alot of the time???
Looks like I might loose a couple of the tom plants with lots of toms, but I've got a few cuttings that have taken off and have small fruit. I will keep the plants alive for the next few months without fish.

Yeah C1 you will be seeing more of me, literally, comming to a city near you, may even pass through MR. There's a circumnavigation happening, starting April. More details soon ...

Sorry to hear about the fish. Seems to have been quite a few calamities lately.
