Well, is everyone feeling better now that the site is back?

How many times did you check to see if it was online again?

I did have an idea and could not post it :shock:
not so long ago someone said that they would like to use air power to pump their water - well, I was looking through text books as I waited for the site to come back up and came across this:

Archimedes' Screw
A long, helical pipe is tilted 45 degrees and the lower end is inserted in water. Rotating the pipe moves water up to and out the top.

If the description is confusing just look up Archimedes' Screw on the net...
Now picture connecting one to a windmill - the wind would help pump that water and aerate it too ! :lol:

I had considered that water screw too, just because you could probably run one on less energy if you didn't have to move the very much water very fast. They use them in Eqypt to irrigate the fields.

I think I checked about 20 times during the day...

It was a server issue of some sort, but it appears we haven't lost anything... :)

I've got dual monitors at work so I had firefox open on the LHS one and set up an auto refresh so as soon as the page loads I would know. It didn't come back untill 9:00pm or so here. So if it refreshed every 1 minute, 8 hour day.... about 480 times..... being technical here! :)

I took to drinking.. I even emailed joel to see if the site suffered from sabotagee after someone/s crackin the shits rofl....I was checking all day at work too.....hopefully my boss doesnt read this rofl
