Yes Angie I do.

I never thought to see it shaping so fast within my lifetime. Had not even given too much thought to end-time prophecy until it was thrust in my face daily on the news and all over in my reading on the internet.

It is all so horrible I don't know what else to do but to tell what I now see. I have such an increasing sense of urgency to see everyone safe.... don't even care if I'm thought a total kook .........because the alternative is too terrible to think on.

I wish none of this was true. However, I truly and utterly believe it to be true.

In the news today.......

It will do (does) no good to worry. Be prepared, in all aspects. And I'll say it again, we ca no good for others if we ourselves are starving.

I use to like the idea of "survivalism," but I think that often it turns a person's heart away from people. I now like the idea of preparedness. Yes, it can be symantics but I'm only speaking from my experience.
I believe a better way is to become a part of a small community, and I mean a part.
Show yourself to be helpful and a "good" person.
Show yourself to have skills, skills that people would like to have around
Produce stuff, things that people use; clothes, soap, cheese- whatever floats your boat.
Be involved with the working of the local community; dog catcher, fund raise for a charity,
PTA (Parent/Teacher Association)-not sure what that translates to out of US.

I began my present journey with Y2K, when I understood that the government computer systems I was working on would crash (had already begun in 1997- three outyear scheduling). I watched CSPAN (US gov channel); watched congressional hearings- they thought there was a problem too. So my family started putting food back, camping supplies, until we had enough for a couple months. It didn't happen of course due to a lot of work and money, but we were prepared and found ourselves not fearful on Dec 31, 1999.

I live along the Gulf Coast of Florida and I continued our preparedness plan (food and water stockpiling through 2000. Again, we don't worry about yearly hurricane season- especially not the aftermath, because we have a plan and are prepared. Over the last few years we have been hit with major hurricanes- Ivan was our "big one" and MS and LA got Katrina. We prepare yearly and are not fearful.

We can only do what we can do, and then its out of our hands. I will also say, from experience, that we have to watch our information intake. To much of one type takes us from "being vigilant" to being anxious, worrisome- even hopeless. For a period I began watching all the Discovery Channel/Science Channel disaster shows; meteors, earth quakes, terrorism... even movies with the same titles, until my son was scared and asked me not to. Try to stay balanced. I think "how to" books & magazines are a good start to balance because they point to action.

Work on AP systems, gardens (roof top, container or traditional), chicken coops or rabbitry's (rabbits make almost zero noise for those living close to others). Buy a few extra canned goods and start rotating them until you have enough to last... whatever time seems right to you. (BTW- don't buy stuff you don't normally eat.) Or buy non-perishables like soaps, toothpaste, toilet paper, plastic bags, etc. Try to get debt free (my biggest issue though I'm not in too deep).

I'm rambling now but my point is do something, get some forward motion and you will feel less anxious, at least I did.

There is no better advice than that! From a religous or Libertarian standpoint! I agree on the preparedness stand point also. I had a brother in law that feared the government collapse and purchased all kinds of assault weapons and ammo. When he passed after a life of paranoia my sister had to figure out how to get rid of the guns without her grown sons getting them. preparedness not survivalism. Cause when they do come for the guns are you really gonna give your life for them? Hunting rifles are another story...

Amen Brother Bill, Amen. :D

My dream is to build an ecofarm where people can come and get training while helping pay the bills and work the farm. Not sure how I'll get there but its my dream. I would also connect the farm to some "in town" business so as to diversify and sink roots into the community.

A farmers market might be a good start, then a bakery, a deli, an Internet Cafe... just something I've been thinking of. I think with the right start up I could make it enriching and profitable.

I might get my chance in Nicaragua. The orphange is located on 50 acres and the director has had interest in the plan.

So true Tony and BRB :D

It is, however, only with enough knowledge that you can get motivated enough to be prepared. And it must be convincing evidence. I have absolutely no desire to change my way of thinking about my future on a fad.

At first when all this stuff started rising into my general peripheral vison.... so to speak.... I wanted to ignore it all. And I did. Sounds so way out...the stuff science fiction is made of.... and plain inconvenient as to how I wanted to think about my fututre. The future must always be good... in fact, better than even today. That makes me happy. :D Gives a sense of security that I am working toward better days. Isn't that what the great South African/American/Australian dream is all about? :D

I looked for palliatives to ease a sense of rising concern... that sense that a trap was being laid for me and those I love .... but with such subtlety that I seemed to be sliding toward it with a horrible sense of inevitability. I found pictures of the holocaust and came to understand what man is capable of toward fellow man. There was enough warning for Jews to try escape but they either refused to believe the signs - inconvenient - or saw no way to leave. I think if they had been given a spy-hole into the future nothing would have held them from escape. Not even abject poverty. Even walking away and scrounging for food would have given more hope.

I started searching the Scriptures more carefully. It has always been my way through to understanding. Hundreds of years ago this time was spoken of very clearly. And the reason was to give hope and direction to safety.

I speak of an increasing sense of urgency but it is not anxiety for myself. I feel my future is now very secure. The urgency is for those who have no clue of the mud-slide they are being herded toward. I believe that freedom of speech will become more and more restricted to facilitate this hidden agenda. It is already happening. My sense of urgency is about that window of opportunity to show others what I am now seeing so clearly. At least with an alternate perspective everyone can make an informed decision to accept or reject. And it takes time to consider such things. They are not comfortable to think about.

I have looked for "balance" to this view.... a counter-balance that would bring doubt to this increasing sense of inevitability. Have not found it from any sources that I can trust. Instead the predictions of the Bible are being confirmed daily in ways that I understand. Where before it was hard to discern now it is coming clearer and clearer as things happen. It is there so we will seek safety.

I most sincerely wanted to be able to refute the perception that some very power-hungry and greedy men were not satisfied with all they already had. That they wanted total control... even of me in my personhood.... to be herded like a dumb inconsequential sheep into their plan of a "new world". They have messed up this one with great success and now want to experiment with the lives of all those I love to get it "right" the next time. Friendly fascism.... oxymoron. Nothing friendly about their intentions at all. I don't fit too easily. And when you don't fit you are expendable. They will need to make it one world, one economic system, and one religion to get it shaped as they wish. And anyone who thinks they have no basic "religion" is just kidding themselves. We all have a set of beliefs that we base our decisions on.... some include God and some are the god of their own lives... our own free-will to choose now.... and so it should be. But that is not what I see in the future. The Bible speaks of mass slaughter of those who will not change their beliefs to fit in with the New World Order. So be it. I won't believe their lie. Not able to. But I believe that the great catching away of the Church will happen before all this.

I listened to an audio book called LEFT BEHIND by Tim LaHaye and someone else. All based on this stuff. A work of fiction based on it all. Was fascinating how they developed the story. They were guessing some of the stuff cos was written almost a decade ago. They saw the United Nations as the route to the one world government. Did not see the rising of the EU as it is today .... but a fascinating story anyway.

I love your dream Tony. I have a very similar one for here on my farm. Just wonder how much will be "allowed" by the American authorities. It takes paperwork to build up a market and value-added businesses. What are your thoughts on that for those in the States?

Nicaragua might be the kind of place you could do it. Not a sophisticated society like the States. Open to the aid such projects would bring.

Chelle,
My beliefs run parallel with yours for the most part, though either I'm more optimistic, or perhaps blind. I don't believe there is -today- some grand central plan where one small group of people are running the whole world. I am not a big conspiracy theorist, though I do believe in the evil in men's hearts. Conspiracies require absolute secrecy, and that is contrary to man's character. Paraphrasing writer, Tom Clancy, 'I don't believe in conspiracies. To have a conspiracy you must do something REALLY cool and not tell anybody! This goes against man's nature.'

However, I do believe what we are seeing is man's nature to be devous, controlling and manipulative, just not connected and synchornized. I think that, for instance, the injected tagging things... people will agree they are good for animals, they will agree that they are good for people in some circumstances; elderly, children of high level officials, etc. In time a company will develop it with more robustness, so it can carry more data and be interactive, and people will be able to debit their grocieries to their bank account simply by picking up merchandice and walking out the door. The young people will like this and get in line. Within a couple generations it will be common, and all without any great anti-christ's order. And then Biblical prophecy steps in, or not-maybe just the government, and begins using the devices for othr purposes. At THAT point, if you have a tag, you get it removed- or you choose not get one implanted.

As a government contractor, several years ago I was told that I needed to go get a SMART Card. It was the card with the chip on it. I remember some people (Christians) saying that they refused to get the card because they said that it was like the mark of the beast. But heres the thing, the mark of the beast has an large element of "drinking the coolaid". By getting the mark you are visably aligning yourself with a philosophy/theology you know to be unGodly. I don't think the Bible points to people accidentally getting the mark. You have accept the mark as a symbol of allegance to whomever.

If this is a concern then the answer is to go 180 degrees the other direction. Have peer-to peer banking, don't use cards, banks, etc. It sounds like I'm mocking but I am not. If technology is leading us down the wrong road then the elimination of this type of technology should buy us time. Whether Christian, Libertarian, or other. If you will allow me a couple more rants, as pertains to a Biblical perspective...

As the story of the Garden of Eden goes, Man was told not to eat the fruit from the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. See that it was the tree of GOOD AND EVIL. We frequently understand it as the tree of evil but not so. Why? Because men would then have the knowledge that God had, but without God's wisdom on how or when to use it. If you don't like my theory thats fine but look around. We are constantly producing stuff that has long term effects on us and our environment. Plastics and other materials that can't compost. Radio waves of ALL different frequencies and amplitudes pearcing the air, and our bodies. Everything comes with a price and because we lack the Wisdom needed we don't understand or even look for the price. Can we do without high technology? The question was answered by several thousand years of the lack of. But if we are going to use technology, we should be very careful in what technologies we accept. IMHO.

As to the ecofarm. So far, in the parts of the US I've lived in, I don't see a problem with farming and connected businesses. In fact frequently I hear of cheese makers, or some such skilled person saying that they have partnered with another small business- small dairy -to get a certain kind/quality of milk. I'm just suggesting that the partner in this case is in the same coop. This would give people living on the farm (an intentional community) the ability to work both outside the farm (for those who don't want to farm), and it allows the farm to gain a foot hold in the community; become part of the community. There is also something to be said bfro staying small, fly under the radar. One is more likely to run into government problems when the highest level of government is the county health inspector, or other local government. Just because we MIGHT run into problems doesn't mean we shouldn't try!

Many people will see and intentional community as a "commune" (in the bad sense) and the creation of local business entities will show this not to be true, or at least confuse those whoulwould think this way. I also think that the farm should sponsor, or facilitate/partner, a yearly festival or community something. Something that brings people, money and recognition into the community. This should appeal to the town fathers. Maybe start with a fish fry and donate he money to the local volunteer fire department or some such thing. Later a strawberry festival maybe.

I look at the Nicaraguan project as a prototype for a lot of things. At the point when you advertize an eco-farm you become a business and thats a whole other ball game!

A have looked at the FAST site. Looks good, much respect.

Tony, it is no problem to me that we do not fully agree about the urgency or the agenda. I wish I could see it the way you do. Seems to be coming together shockingly fast when I watch the headlines. Wish I could say different but would be dishonest of me to do so.

I don't see myself as a "conspiracy theory" person. More newspaper in one hand and Scriptures in the other. But what the Bible describes could be labelled a conspiracy I suppose. I had little interest in the subject of end-times until stuff became very obvious. Now I am glad for all the research others have put into it all. And especially for those with the courage to speak out about all that is happening..... whatever their belief system.

With regards to using technology in general. We don't really have that kind of extreme reaction here. We only want to be careful about taking the mark of the beast as allegiance to the NWO dictator. It comes when no other options open to conduct financial transactions. I don't believe the Church - as we know it now - will be here anyway. But taking the mark of the beast is serious business. That is made very clear in the Scriptures and should not be minimised in any way.

With regards to the eco-farm. Seems to me the Stowers were part of the kind of local co-op you are describing. The fact that there is a large public outcry is good, not bad. I like your ideas. Hope you pull it off. Be wonderful. As you say... got to try. Can leave something behind too.

I could not stop trying either. I love doing and learning about farming..... and whether it be 3 years or 20 years before it all comes together nothing will stop me enjoying today by doing what I love to do. The rewards are enough even in beating the prices at the till. Gifts of the excesses will be more and more welcome the higher those prices go.

Glad you liked the site. Contact him. He is very open and available. A really super guy. He has also written a manual on how to build a small system very useful for the 3rd world.

You didn't finish the scripture- the reason Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden, was not because they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil but because they could eat from the Tree of Life as well and live forever (become Gods themselves- knowledge and immoratility)- that is why they were thrown out. Adam and Eve were immortal but innocent, as long as they stayed in Eden, but once they received knowledge, they had to be thrown out and then they aged and eventually died; that is why they were forbidden to eat from the first tree- God knew the consequences.
I don't follow any religion but I read the Bible and take it literally, although I do understand that the Bible is also full of symbolism and hidden meanings- so I don't know what that makes me- Christian is so vague a description and I believe that Christianity will be transformed into another religion, just as Judaism transformed into Christianity. I haven't heard of any religion preaching that concept.

Chelle- Just to be clear, writing is sometimes such an imperfect medium, I was not calling you out on anything. I am 45, been in the Church for 20+ years and have been through times (in the US anyway) where everyone was seeing the beast/anti-christ around every corner. If you label this vigilence, so be it, its cool with me. When I was a teen we heard that Henry Kissenger was the anti-christ. We also heard that the government was building a super computer called, "Beast". Is Henry the guy, dunno. Did the government build the Beast, dunno. I just want people to be balanced. If my walk is right, and if I'm founded in the truth, and if I'm reaching out and open about my testimony so that the Holy Spirit might work through me, then I believe that the Holy Spirit will guide me through whatever comes along.

Perehaps we've moved too far off topic but its your thread so you can decide. I'm cool.

Angie- Not really trying to make any point other than humans seem to have developed an unquenchable appetite for the fruit of the tree of knowledge (symbolically of course), and I believe the problem with this is that we so often don't know the outcome of what we produce from that knowledge.

Good discussion! I like it!

T.
