well my "test" system is nearly cycled, the nitrites are WAY up but the yabbies and the goldies seem happy..

Re Nitrites... what's WAY up? Nitrites have a habbit of being tolerable up unto a point, then everything dies... fast.

wow... I would have thought 5 was dead fish... cool. well done... avoid feeding until it drops further... < 1 is nice... 0 is ideal.

well the temps have been low at the moment and they have heaps of DO but its dropped yesterday and i think it has today so i think things are getting cycled

looks like i have finally cycled!!!! nitrites have dropped to >0.50 today and the nitrates are <80 (but i removed some plants yesterday but planted some more today) ammonia almost 0 very happy :)

but i also made my water like weak black coffee with seasol today :P
