mmmmm, Where's the choice for "I don't give a damn either way" :)

Personally I don't see that it makes any difference one way or the other, it makes no difference to me anyway... :)

I am a big fan of daylight savings. I enforce my own by going to work early and leaving early, but I would still like to see it in WA. I spent January in Adelaide last year, and it awsome to be able to get back to room after a 12h day and wonder the steets in daylight.

That extra hour of sunlight will fade your curtains faster, upset your chooks - (their eggs will taste different), the kids will have to go to school in the dark - and come home in the hottest time of the day, and I'm not sure that it doesn't contribute to global warming......But, I love it!
In fact, I think it should be extended, beginning and ending on a public holiday, giving people a chance to adjust their body clocks so that they don't arrive too early/late on the next working day.

always makes me laugh.. every year some one writes in to the 50/50 cloumn in the heraldsun complaining about daylight savings and how her curtains will fade more due to the extra light, or how the animals will get all freaked out............WTF?? The mind boggles :)

I think EVERYONE should have daylight savings.

And, if you've already got it, add another couple of hours onto the setup!

Mess with the kids heads! That's why you get into the parenting game!

What's more amazing Steve, is that the people who write in to the 50/50 column actually believe that an extra hour of sunlight is created during daylight saving time. LOL If only that were true - I could do a hell of a lot more with a 25 hour day!

personally i am not a fan of daylight savings. i don't like attempting to sleep in 30deg weather in summer and don't like running aircons. i have sleeping problems as is so the extra heat hurts. my body is not designed for daylight saving. in fact i would prefer the hours to be delayed a couple. that way i wouldn't be late all the time. my body clock is out of western time and in the dreamtime.
