I used Amquel+ last year and the year before to neutralize chlorine with no obvious problems. Stopped using it because of the not safe for food fish warning on the bottle.

I use a product made by Seachem called Safe in my aquariums - its highly concentrated in powder form so is a lot more economical when treating large volumes of water.
