Tried drops from a master test kit and the bluelab i have 2 bottels of test solution 7 ph and 4 ph in the bluelab shows spot on also tap water here shows 7 !!!!!

OK, with you now... so both the bluelab and the master test kit were showing pH 5.5... right...

just an aside... tested my main perch tank tonite.... had been running pH 7.4 about a month ago.... now reading pH 6.4, but I've been pumping the feed into the perch (about double from last month)... and the temp is a pretty constant 26 degrees....

Threw a big "conch" shell into the trickle filter... will see what it does... :wink:

I am starting to wonder if force feeding is bringing it down tested the meter spot on 4 and 7 went down seeded the tank :lol: and tested again the out side system 5.4 the glass house 5.8 both running the same water[ theres a small flow mixing the water about 20 litres an hour]this morning dug 10 kg shellgrit and 4 kg calciam carbonate into the bottom of an outside grow bed

I've got the batteries in my PH tester now. Might start taking daily reading and see if there is another change when it rains. Feed is kinda standard unless I'm relaxing. :drunken:

Thats odd, buffering usually holds ph up against the downward swing. Leaves and wood rotting etc can continually pull down but not common in AP. Sure its not algae in the system F&F? Measure 2x once in the early morning and once late afternoon on a sunny day. :) :drunken:

Forgot to put in tested the old duckweed nift tank that had the trout in its been sitting there growing duckweed and odxilla no extra water just an air stone went green and slimey after the rain its cleared up any how test ph 7.1

Last night opened a valve to let the duckweed tank cycle with the system This mornings test every thing 6.1 except tap water 7.1
