I got no luck on the lead had for Barra sorry guys - the mate who could have got them for me talked to his client on the phone yesterday - they closed the fish farm not long ago & the guy suggested my best bet was to source some from over east ( little wonder he went out of business / closed the farm )

how do redfin taste compared to barra ?

Redfin taste great . They have rather large scales which are hard to remove so the best way to eat them is to cut the flesh from the skin removing the scales at the same time. Where you going to try to catch em Boris??

Not sure if im allowed to say on the forum or not but if your in need for barra try golden ponds, they are in mundijong and TimC n I picked up 50 today at 5-6cm for $2.50ea.

They are a little bigger than most fingerlings so a good price in my opinion. We just needed barra and the system was going to be close to marron/yabby only (no fish). From memory they also sell silver perch, crays (cooked or alive) and other salt/fresh aquaculture livestock.
