Was an airstone in the existing tank... just too late, too tired to tap another in... figured I do it in the morning....

Next time... it's rainwater.... off to the tank place in the morning...

I'm going to have to look into rainwater. If not a tank then use a T with a large tap. I could of done a 100% water change in the last 10min with the rain that is coming down. How do the fish handle large water changes with rain water.

No problems at all... unless there's a major difference in pH or temperature... but unlikey...

Cool. I wonder if my pump could keep up with the rain off the shed. Its roof is 25m by 8m. Will have to go to the hardware shop and look for a 100mm Y section for the down pipe. Thanks.

Our water is white tonight. Got a slip in mailbox saying water would be off from 9am-4pm while maintenance done. Water didn't go off, but white started at 7pm. Is extra chlorine, plus some air I think :? . Anyway, will obviously not give to fish .

Watch for nutrient inflow if using rain water - probably a good idea to let the roof "rinse", before filling if you can - I've had a few algae event's triggered shortly after rain - mainly from dust and crap on the solar blanket and shade cloth over my pool I think...

Late night status check.... no visible mortalities... almost all swimming lazily around the tank...

With the light on they seem curious and slowly glide around near the surface... so different from the other batch... freaks me everytime I see them so near the surface...

Funny part is the two goldfish that have been in the tank for a couple of months seem to think that they're silver perch as well... school up with their new buddies and tour the tank....

Hehe, I'm not game to check on my fish at night. If they hear me one will typically end up jumpin' out onto the pool cover. Buy the time I get that one back in, another one jumps out...stupid fish...
