System expansion underway !

the two leftover IBC bottoms , one is 550L one is 750 L , both need to be cut down to the level of the bricks

the dirt in the foreground is now mostly out the way aswell , need to get two more IBCs to fit in ( and use half of each as GBs for the other system )

Once theyre in & the plumbings done I just need to backfill . Should end up adding about 2000 litres more to this system

The big fat pipe in the front is going to be buried as access to the tap on the closer of those two tanks to be able to seperate these two from the next two

The thinner pipes sticking up ( temporarily ) are from the bore to the retic ( might even add a T so I can top the system up whenever I put the retic on )

Halfway through building a chicken coop in the background there too

apparently beer comes AFTER digging too , as I just found out ..

The pics show the easy bit, the hard bit was digging a channel a further foot or so below the eventual depth of the next two tanks to move / bury the pipe from the bore , then cover it and copact it

The tanks dont look deep because of the angle of the photos . The closer one is about 60cm & the second is about 50cm . The next two will be deeper

File comment: 50mm pipe from the tap at the bottom of the closest tank . will join to the next one about halfway up it so I can choose which pair of tanks drain most when filling beds

File comment: the fat white pipe to the right gives access to the tap on the right tank , so I can isolate these two from the next two if I need to . too

File comment: 2 45 bends to go around the footing for the power pole . they both angle upwards a bit aswell

things have happened - the Gods of AP have smiled upon me and system expansion will now take place at an accelerated rate !
1 GB is with Duckpond so he can measure for the steel frames

so , all I did was leave 2 bags of clay balls out on the lawn , and viola! they cross-pollinated or something and now I've got Ten !

gold dust , heh

The first ( original ) 330L growbed form the adjascent system will have all the gravel dug out & spread between two of the new GBs , then all three of those topped up with spare gravel that I have , then the ten bags will spread on top of all three

The third new growbed will be put in place & used for storage till I get the next 2 IBCs ( still waiting )

Once the next two IBCs are in , this system will have a total of 2150L gravel & 4000L water . two timed pumps & one for aeration

Steel frames should be finished and ready to paint by tomorrow night !! ( thansk to Duckponds awesome welding skills )
wooohoooo
