Has anybody got a good method to get rid of mites. My tomatoes and beans are looking very ordinary.

Long term , take a look at planting GOOD bug attracting plants/flowers ..... most seed stores stock them.
Short term , I think white oil is effective.

OOOPS ,, forgot ....., make sure you keep the amount entering the system to an ABSOLUTE minimum ,, don't think the fish will like it.

Mites are "lice" like creatures.... mostly likely "whitefly" or aphids....

You can control whitefly (and aphids) with yellow "sticky" traps...

we've had success with persimilis for two-spotted mite
