Very nice sizes Jaynie, I am impressed.
I am using the 1000w sump pump from Aldies $129.00
Its been going non stop for about 8 months so far. (on for 20 secs every 2 mins., day and night, non stop.)
Going to buy another two. One for the other tubs and one as a stand bye.
What were you using?

I dont use a timer. The pump sits in the barrel dug in below ground level. The water runs out into the grow beds by gravity, through the drains into the barrel and gets pumped back into the pool when the level of water lifts the floating switch high enough.
The pump keeps going until the barrel is nearly empty.
The water in the pool is always well above the level of the tubs so that gravity feed is continuous.
There is a small pump in the gravity line as well so that if the level gets too low, I can force the water over with a pump. (dishwasher pump....300w)
I am going to have a change over system so that I can flood and drain now and then.
I tried the timers from the supermarkets.....the little electromechanical clock types....they are not good.
Cheers
