good answer, that is very specific and very correct. Would tell you the other hormones involved with ovulation and the creation of spermatozoa, but I am the only one interested in knowing that.
Congrats to you both and hope you get a good ovulation and sperm production. Am following keenly.

ps hCG act by doing the job of gonadotrphin releasing hormone from the hypothalamus and this hormone acts on the anterior pituatary in releasing luteinising hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. THese two hormones are gonadotrphins and act on the ovaries (and testicles), to grow follicles and there associated oocytes(eggs) and then there is a surge of LH which causes the follicle to ovulate.

PPS just a small taste of what my past 3 days has solely consisted of, I can tell you all the processes in the mare, bitch, queen, cow, sow and ewe. BUt it is all over tomorrow so wish me luck.

yeah looking at being a vet some time before I turn 30, two years in and a lazy three to go.
VB - yeah vet is full of what is described as "learn and flush" moments until you come back the next year and realise that they are basing all of this years work on lasts years stuff.

Each "tea strainer" holds about 10,000 eggs.... 31 strainers (310,000 eggs) bagged up to go back to the farm along with the brrodstock...
