well here i am again wondering if anyone would do me the favour of selling me some of there 2mm native fish pellets in and around brisbane. Les swapped me some last year and have just finished them now so i do not use a lot but am keen to get my hands on any quantity from 3kg -10kg. Will travel a bit to get them and am located in west end in brisbane now, so if you have some within a half hour or so drive I would really appreciate,

The other option is that I am happy to get some and split the bag a couple of ways. So if you are interested in either than reply or PM and we can figure it out.
Nick

Try Rothwell produce - I got some there (although note sure if it was 2mm or 1mm). Ridley stuff. My SPs love it.

Nick - they are still close to that, just a few bucks more now. I bought my 8mm barra pellets a few weeks back and I think they were close to $60. Still heaps better than buying by the kilo though.

thanks, that is good to hear, will head down and grab some soon, and yes they are a lot better then the pices some people around are asking for per kilo.

I will buy some and when everyone gets there fish in the next few months hopefully will have some takers to get the bulk of it of my hands.

off topic VB, how are the barra going? have you got many left?

Nick - still losing a barra every week or 2, though no idea why. They go belly up and then (if I don't kill them) will stay that way swimming around the bottom of the tank for a few days before ending up floating (alive) for a couple of days before they eventually die.

They are now getting to a size where I will euthenase (sp?) any that go this way and eat them.

In fact, I'm eating one such fish tonight. 450grams gilled and gutted, so a reasonable meal.

As for how many left - I have no idea. Maybe 30??

Nick - where you located? If close enough, I'd be happy to share some next time you buy some.

yeah will have a look at my pay this week and if I get some spare cash will go and buy a 25kg bag, if ryangus or any one else is keen to get some, i will sell it at pretty much cost price just to get rid of most of it, will start a new thread when I figure it all out.

Nick

If you need a smaller quantity than 25kg, I can spare some 2mm. My SPs have moved up to the 3mm+ category. I can bring some into the CBD where I work, AMP building Eagle St. Let me know if this offer interest you.

cheers
Derek

I'm right for the moment Nick - my little SPs only eat about 2 teaspoons a day, and I have heaps left for now. When I need some more, I'll post a "group buy" thread.

Thanks anyway.

BTW - is there any need to increase food size? I assume bigger fish will eat any size the practically can, so why not have a "one-size-fits-all" approach to feeding?

Of course, this is assuming that the contents are the same, with only the size of pellet varying...
