heaps, too many, I just went crazy with the first plant of the system !!! everything thrown in to grow in no order, and the tomatoes smothered all that they could in getting to best sun light, and sapping the system of all the nitrates, not that there are any nitrates now

I just got a kick out of it growing, and didn't take responability in helping the fruit grow vined up and well. Then when we tried to fix it, it was sort of too late.

Lesson learnt , look after the plants as much as I do the fish, and everything will turn out trumps

40 in the dirt. 5 in AP and 15 still in the seedling trays. Might need to borrow that wog sauce recipe. Had a Greek friend of mine drop off some home made chili sauce. :blob6: And I thought Tabasco was hot.Told me about his chili paste and that I wouldn't like it. Some thing about being a little hot.

Home made fish food, LOVELY, pilchards, ornamental fish food pellets, and cat biscuits through the hand mincer. They eat it which is good. Faye thankgoodness is send up some barra pellets, which is a much cheaper way for feeding them, but this is fun too. And they all like eating the fish mince. Trawlers knocked off fishing for the year, so I am back to buying pilchards , 2 kg $11. A bit pricey.

Put the worms in a pile in the growbed, place a bucket or box over the top, they will be all in the bed within a few days :)

I thought I killed the worms in my worm bin but I think they made a dash for the GB's as I see some on the filter under the outlet.

Maybe it has something to do with what the worms came in. They feed them pretty well to keep them breeding so the bedding(casting) they were in would be rich. Might be where the spike was coming from. Or if some of the worms made it into the sump the barra could of been having a good feed. Might explain the fish being off there feed a little.
