KE, I use Skretting Pellets. They are made in Tassie, there not the cheapest but I recon they are the best of all the brands I have tried.

Thats it for this season, biggest was 819g, 36cm.

Time for the silvers and bream to grow.

I harvested 5 of mine yesterday, the bigest was 766gr. very pleased with the way they grew and i look forward to the next batch.

just out of intrest has any one noticed eggs when gutting ther trout?

I noticed 1 out of 11 so far. they were very small and nothing to wory about.

Hay C1, they sure look like some nice big trout, what size are they? those marron look good to.

looks like you have a good size setup, what do you have in the cages?

I have been thinking about another setup so I am looking for ideas.

The cages design are from some research that was carried out years ago.
Apparently marron can molt and reproduce in these small closed habitat
sanctuaries.
the lids are open the marron come and go as they graze the algae.
most will venture out, there are also 'offcuts' of 90mm sw pipe, where others tend to
hang...only 1 has escaped but I found him soon enough and chucked him back in FT :blackeye:
There are 15+ marron all up there are a few marron I suspect are
females, they have their tails hung under and are definately 'mature'.
some are 350mm top of carapus to end of tail
Oops :oops: that was OT with the marron.
maybe this will make it right :cheers:
