A friend of mine just wandered into my office and showed me a water storage system he has invented and has had on the market for about 9 weeks.
It is a system utilizing "lego block" type construction that clips together into whatever shape tank you need!
Walls,Blocks, Inside corners, Outside corners or even Under floors,
A Major benefit is that if you dont like where the tank starts off, you can change its shape and reposition it somewhere else.
And if you find its too big or too small, you can add or subtract modules.

The setup is currently available through the "WaterPro's" chain, but will very soon be available all over Australia.
Each tank module holds 77 litres, and retails at about $60 each. (works out about 78c per litre) which is cheaper than most "Shaped" household water storage tanks (probably not round),

I dont suggest putting fish in them you would have to disassemble the thing to catch them
But for collecting roof water I can see the product selling quite well.

No I like the idea of putting fish in them. Give them something to do. Nice to see a water storage system you can add to. A 20000ltr tank is a large investment so something you can add to would be interesting.

Agreed! Although Steven did admit that anything over about 5000 litres can be bought and delivered for less than his equivelent, But it will be round, and not versatile!

Looks like it will make a good solar water wall for heat storage...

The holes interconnecting the blocks don't cause any fish to get stuck in them right?

Thinking about how the water circulates is also interesting - since they move through the interconnecting pipes. Maybe the inlet is on one end and the pump somewhere else so that the water is drawn through all the cubes.

We should also think about how the debris will accumulate - the will be present in all the bottom cubes?

This system is designed "ONLY" for water storage,
If you try to grow out fish in it, the problem will one day come that you need to find which module the fish suddenly got too big in!
You then need to disassemble the setup and cut that module open in order to eat your fish
