heh! maybe some1 who knows some1 from seasol marketing could drop a hint. I know they reward radio stations in such a way when their product is given an unsolicited mention. ;-)

This might 0f been covered already but can you tell me about your drain system please?
I'm looking to pretty much copy your system, what size drain pipes are you using?
I'm guessing you are using the overflow / slow drain system, iof so what size holes have you drilled / how many in your stand pipes?
what LPH pump are you using?
What would you do differant if you started again?

Thanks in advance for your help mate!

don't blame you mate, no point improving on perfection

100mm with holes cut along the top with a hole saw to line up with each tub drain

yep, stand pipes in each tub with one 4mm hole , takes 14min to flood all 16 GB tubs and 2hrs to drain.

pump is http://www.poolstuff.com.au/shop/products/210.php ...onga 400w 145ltr/min

like I said, can't improve on perfect. :D  :D

seriously though, this was a relatively cheap system to set up with most of the materials sourced secondhand. even the grow bed frame is made from old sign posts and footy goal posts. go on the scrounge and i'm sure you'll find something useful. one minor downside is that there is alot more plumbing vs volume of gb compared to a BYAP product. meaning lots more taps and stand pipes . I do like the one pump no sump style so if the pump should cark it i don't lose all the water in the gb's.

wen't to shoot afew pics for ya but camera not charged...stay tuned.

Hi Worms
Just discovered your site I'm a bathtub addict initially used them sunken into the ground and filled with some nice soil for growing herbs/vegetables when I started getting interested in AP my first thought was to use B/tubs as the grow beds, I have checked out so many systems on this forum but unfortunately hadn't come across yours which was a pity because I would have picked your brains
Under my B/Tubs I have a large float tank for yabbies and a bath for worm breeding
I plan to cover the sides eventually to hide all this and the plumbing but haven't come up with anything that appeals so will be keen to see what you come up with.
How is your system coming along any more photos?
