Maybe a cat walk around it. I love the size. Mine only holds 500 gallons and with Tiliapia having babies so fast, I am quickly trying to get the other tanks in place. Now that it is starting to get cold, and tiliapia have to stay warm, I wish I had put my tank at least half way in the ground, sorry Jaymie, I forgot about the rock farm.

Joyce.. I too am finding out how fast these fish breed. The females have released about 300 fry which were sucked up into the grow beds where they are swimming madly about in the irrigation channels. I'm thinking this might be the way to go since they will undoubtedly prey on the bugs that have inhabited the grow beds....

Don't know?! definetely doing the bottom, cos it is rusted out a bit but it was/is a decommissioned water tank it shouldn't need much else once we plug the leaks.

I have come across a number of similar tanks with some leaks in them. How where you going to plug your large one?

Brilliant!!! I have a number of corrugated water tanks all rusted out in the bottom. The tops are fine; I figure cut the bottom off turn them over patch the manhole and 'now' fill with concrete! Thankyou...

What where you thinking of sealing it with, product name, cost?? Sorry to hassle you but I’m getting excited (this aquaponics thing could be a goer!)
:)

An early start this morning, and now we have concrete-inna-tank!

Woohoo!

It was a pretty easy job. I just stood back and watched the expert do his thing! C1 is a concreting genius and the tank looks great. All praise to the great C1! :notworthy:

And then of course, last night there was the delivery of the free rail sleepers (we had to save them from the fire didn't we?) There are 26 of them, that will become grow bed stands and blue drum racks. Yay!

:wav:

There was plenty of coffee available. Tonight we're taking him out to get drunk again!

I tried to get them to shift the tank at about 8.15 this morning (the truck got here at 8.00!)
