Orange is my favorite color.

I am having a mental block on how to set up my auto siphon with little pump, but if the grow beds were a larger volume I think it would be easier to have the siphon in the header tank. But if your pump can fill both beds up fast enough you could use siphons in them. My pump will probably not fill a large bed volume up quickly enough to start a siphon. The downside with having the siphon in the header is that the beds won't be a true flood and drain, unless they are small relative to your tank and header volume.

Will do Matt

Yeah I think System 2 is the winner. I bought a blue barrel today and had to haul it home on my motor bike needless to say i got a lot of weird looks being the white guy doing something stupid. I just don't get it two indonesians can drive down the road with a bookshelf on a motor bike no big deal. The white guy straps a 200L barrel on the back and he is a fruit cake. Pictures soon to come

Good one - motor bike was a bit of an overkill wasn't it - would have easily fitted on the other bike there

EL Yeah well i had to drive a half hour and the other bike was jsut not an option.

Today we got most of the gravel washed am taking a break now as the rain has hit. I wanted to get the tank sealed before the rain so i could get rain water but that did not happen. Oh well it is rainy season now so shuld be lots more.

How do you think the best way to seal the tank would be. I have two output holes but the plugs wont fit right (the threads have no backing). I would like to be able to open the outputs up later but if i have to i weal just seal them shut. Any Ideas???

What! You stopped! Get back out there - that is free water to help wash your gravel!!!;)

I will get a pic up in the morning.

Free water sure. So i just sit back and have a cuppa while the rain washes it all by itself.

Here are the photos of the hole i need to seal. They are set up for pump but i have 2 free submersiable to use so want to seal them for now. Maybe later will switch to a externalt pump set up. So don't want to seal them completely with silacone.

JtJF,

You should be able to find brass screw in balnk ends for blocking those. Just wrap some plumbers tape around the thread and screw them in.
