I think this is the name of a song>"And they called her Murraya!" (Need a singing face here so you can imagine that I break into song, aaah well maybe not. Can't sing.)

I hate naming things I'm gonna eat , I alrerady feel bad about killing them and hate to make it more personal.
Having said that , I do like the name.

yep - they are an absolutely massive fish, about 7 years old.

They let them breed naturally in a cage in the ponds. The brood pair are placed in the cage for 4 days at spawning time, then removed. Any eggs present are taken to the hatchery. If there are no eggs, another brood pair are placed in the cage for 4 days etc etc.

Aparently very similar to barra in temperament, will eat each other, and harrass a fellow fish until it jumps out of the tank. They have had theirs from 8 deg c, up to 32 deg c.
