Maybe , of course, will move the babies , to the sump, I would love to see how big those caties can get , they are cool, and the jacks too, they are even better value, thinking I might accommadate the barra in the sump , for a temperary situation

I'm thinking of using the swirl filter to put fingerling's in to start with. Do want some cod later but will have to look at another tank. Maybe dig in a sum for the pool.

Hi all , moved the babies to the sump, and a lesson learnt, next time they will automatically start from there, with the sump FULL of guppies, so to get a kick start. The Barra have noticably grown, and there are only 5 guppies left. There where a few more mortalities, and after reading Veggie Boys thread, I understand why.

All in all, it going OK , be lucky to have 50 % left. I hope the worst of the worst is over.

Hi all, the barra are doing great, spin out to watch. Here is a follow up pick to show growth rate excellerating, pH is slowly dropping, still have no signs of nitrate, nitrite and ammonia

The picture was just taken, this is the growth 14 days on

exceptional growth there Jessy...bolters are good...means that they are not all ready for eating at the same time so harvest can be extended...just got to make sure the biggies don't eat the littlies

ran out of ponds in town for guppies, the fish factory has fillet day Mondays, so can go there to get the offal and skeletons to mince up. They are all getting through the 15 Kg's of bait fish I minced up last week at an exceptional rate. All fish look happy and healthy, so far :compress:
