Connected the solid removal tank and have the water from that go through a blue drum filled with bio-balls. And added some of these suckers.

Threw a hand full of pellets in the pool tonight. And on my way past I could see the silvers taking them. So they're still alive. Was starting to worry about the guys. The green is starting to clear a little. Don't know if it is the 240ish muscles, the protein skimmer or the swirl filter and 200ltr drum of bio-balls. Getting some shade for them over the next couple of days.

Like rabbits. The dam that these came from had a lot. I mean these were in a couple of meters sq. And they like company, if you find one then check around it because there is probably another 5 or 6.

Yep, but they need fish to "host" a stage in their reproductive cycle...

Put shade cloth over half the pool today. Might get the rest done over the next couple of days. Also making a sand filter. Have a Davey sand filter but it has issues. Have 2 200ltr olive drums that i'm going to use as a sand filter. Will have to wait for a week just in case the pool clears first. Wouldn't be any fun if there was no green to filter out.

Other half has found out that fish food in the pool equals lots of fish eating food. So how much do you need to feed 43ish silvers and what is the best time. The when I'm bored and want to see fish system I think might have its disadvantages.

Silvers actually require very little food to survive, they will eat algae most of the time. Most people feed until the fish dont want anymore, 2 - 3 times a day.

Fish are not that hungry when I feed them. Other half keeps telling me she has already feed them. This is taking some of the fun out of this. Will keep a look out for an ammonia spike.
