If you are using only normal air - there is no way to have too much. More bubbles the better.

It's all go snakes! Well done.
I'm also for "as much air as you can afford"
Good luck with the new guys. Keep an eye on you ammonia / nitrite levels.
Lots of heaters!, good thing the company pays for the electricity.

Cheers Scott :) The ammonia / nitrite was perfect when they went in. How often should I test the water?

With a new system and a bunch of new fish. I'd be tempted to test every day or two.
When you are comfortable the system is fully "cycled". I'm guessing most people only test "when they feel the need"?

As Scott says Snake, keep up the tests until you are comfortable with ammo and nitrites staying at zero...then gradually increase the test period out to weekly then monthly.

Generally I test on a weekly basis after a major change in the system like adding/harvesting a large qty of fish or doing a GB re-forestation :D

Just did a water test: Ammonia 0, Nitrate .5, nitrite 5  What do I do? I added about 200L, but can't do a water change till tomorrow because of temps :?
