F&F came over in a pre-dawn style raid today (except it was after mid-day :)) I actually thought he was a detective, all suited up with the quick pull up in the driveway and the brisk walk to the front door! (you gotta know my neighbours ;))

He is satisfied that my system DOES exist LOL

Identified half a grow bed of mysterious plants as being radishes today :) (i planted out pretty much completely from seed and many of the seeds were in un-labelled bags ;))

SO to all of you that have been waiting for pictures here they are.............................

A few things to look for;

one bed is still waiting for more media

sexy supply pipe still needs to be made

valves need to be fitted to each bed

more plants need to be planted

fish are all dead. 29 to be exact, total weight around 6KG. ranging from 200g to 350g with a median of 250g

am very over it all today. lucky i didn't visit the fate of the lawn mower onto the AP system. :(

what happened is that a 1000L BURIED IBC is MUCH better at maintaining low temps on a sunny day than a 3000L tank above ground in full sun is............:(

am quite frustrated over it all as now i have no fish (i lie, 4 trout survived) to power my system.

was really hoping to get reddies for the summer fish but that looks remote now.

might do an emergency order of 100 gold fish and relocate muzza the 30cm cod from inside to the tank. then i can have some twisted evil enjoyment watching the gladiator fight.........

sorry, am in a real foul mood

anyone ever notice how much worse BAD is when you're in a really good mood first?

spent the morning picking up my shipment of corals from the airport then stuffing around aclimatizing them and fixing them in position. Then content i went out the back to feed the fish at 1pm

Ironically if i hadn't done the marine tank i'd have gone out at 10am and probably seen them gasping at the surface.

such is AP

Do you have enough room after the last GB to bury the fish tank?

LOL, plenty of room, but not gonna do it. a simple gal cover and air stones like i had on the old system would have saved them.
