OBO, air to water would be a crappy way to measure it. what it should be is air to animals.

i did an involved calc WAY BACK. fuggered if i kow where it is now, but it may help you.

will try some search strings.

O2 is THE key to keep the trout alive at higher temps

Yeah I know, thats why I am trying to figure it out. I know TCL siad there was a certain amount of air / fish but I cant find that either :roll:

those electromagnetic jobbies are tough. i gave mine hell, running it at upto 60+c ambients, continuous for 3 months.

ended up dying due to lube issues on the piston. i think if you used it normal fashion it would last a LONG time :)

Rightyo, decided that the 75l/min spraybar would do a fair bit of aeration, so the air pump is for insurance.

Got a 20l/min electromagnetic.

If it is power consumption that is the worry .. maybe use a timer?

Yep, that was considered an option, but @ 450 watts it still needs a bigger inverter. Getting multiple smaller air pumps seems to be the way to go.
