I want to be able to push down at least 1m, so the higher pressure will be needed. I might get a couple of the smaller ones - much easier to run off an inverter.

At the moment i run one large and one small the large on runs the system and the small one one stone in the trout and one in the silvers

Its not the depth but how much she blows that matters. Don't know if that helps in AP.

20kpa

10.2m water = 100kpa

10.2/5=2m (@ zero flow)

ahhh those endless months of calibrating level sensors has finally payed off ;)

2.009 approx? i'd hate to see you when you're NOT approx ;)

so 10.2m water = 14.5psi

2/14.5=0.1379

10*0.1379= 1.3m nope, somethings wrong ..................ahhhh, the decimal point F&F! its 2.9!!!

lets try again
2.9/14.5=0.2
10*0.2= 2m

thats better.

OBO,

100kpa is equal to 10.2m water head.
10kpa is equal to 1.02m water head.

14.5psi is equal to 10.2m water head
1.45psi is equal to 1.02. water head

10kpa = 0.01mpa

clear as 1m mud head? :)

Well after an hour of Googling trying to figure out what size air pump I require to keep the o2 level acceptable if everything goes bad, I came up with this:

I have around 2000 gallons of water. I want to be able to go for at least 6 hours without pumping to the growbeds. I currently have a 4500lph water pump running through a spraybar - what do you reckon? Do I need an air pump? The trout are getting big, and I'm getting scared

I cant pump much water through the growbeds during the day, or my water temps skyrocket.

Most info that I came across seems to recomend that 2000 gallons requires ~40 litre/min air pump.

Thoughts? How good a job would my spraybar be doing?
