Oh how can i forget about the NONI plant

Mmm, the Yacon, very tough plant related to the sunflower, that produces very sweet crisp tuberous roots. Very good for diabetics as it's carbs are in the form of inulin. Lots of good info here.

Below is the crop I had from 1 plant last year, the first time I have grown them. 10-12 months after harvesting the tubers I was digging in that section of garden and found one of the old tubers I'd missed, still crisp and sweet after spending almost a year buried.

EB, have you attempted growing tubers in your beds?

I have NEVER seen or heard of this before - and related to the sunflower.. wow, this is a fantastic planet we inhabit!

You've read the info, feel free to rave. I'll fill in any bits you've missed, and short of growing the tropical fruit yourself whi i belive tahitian noni is the ONLY brand to buy if you were going to.

Where would I get some fruit. And err, seeds. If we bring fruit here I will wind up drawn and quartered better i commit genocide than have a banana in my pants through customs

Yes I got Noni info but sent it on to the sister responsible for Mums care (the nurse). We just ran out of time so fast...
