Apparently when you're salting at high levels adding extra oxygen helps. I don't know why though.

true true. O2 saturation mg/l is lower the higher you go in salinity............

but it shouldn't help if you had enough air before the salt..... dunno.......

There is that much air in our system it almost looks like a spa ! After being back in the main tank all night n day the fish look fine . Very sprightly even having a go at each other, hope these are good signs.

Hi again Kel, Nothing like jumping in the deep to make you swim did something similar growing gerberas in a hot house a few years ago every dieases and pest you could experience in a lifetime in six months makes the learning curve a sorta figure eight. Reason iI asked about beds is i bought some of a guy in vic a while ago about 2mx .9 x .3depth they are aqualined and have the hole in them for the drain i got 4 and a similar sized tank .9 deep for 2.5k delivered to North Coast i thought that ol mate might have sold the same too you :D

Nah different bloke. These guys knew nothing about what we were doing they were just a sheetmetal mob. Wish they did know though cause then we might have got it aqualined.
