Hi Guys,

I've got a couple of these tub's I got at a local recyclers for $5 each.
I've been told they they're actually watering trough's, which it what I use them for anyway.
I was also told that the slit in the side if for a float valve of some sort?
The reason I ask here is because I saw these used in someone's system, it was the system
in the shade house bit and, actually, I've remembered a little more, I'll go have another look!
But anyway, does anyone know what these are called new, and what float valve suits them?
I'm not sure what type they would use, but I'm looking for a compact enclosed one,
I'm using one for my geese and one for my ducks, they tend to break things :P

Cheers, going to have another look for that system now! :D

I don't know about the tubs in question but you mention wanting durable stuff.
Here is the type of float valve I'm using for topping up my systems. They seem pretty sturdy and hold up under my strong well pressure wile some other kinds of float valve have failed on me.

I saw them yesterday when I went on my mission :D I prefer them over the standard float valves for sure :) Just don't know if the tank is pushing out 10psi!

These are the ones I'm really interested in http://www.hudsonvalve.com/ the 1/2" operates at 0psi :) I'll wait and see if anyone can identify the tubs then I'll have a look at the type of valve that's 'supposed' to be used by them!
