Just grab some plastic welding stick, and a heatgun - have a go. If it is a tight fit / threaded use glue.

I got a decent paint stripper heat gun, but its a round nozzle. Maybe if I make some type of 'flat blade' nozzle, like the plastic welders on ebay.

Nah... the round nozzle will be better... only used to heat the plastic weld rod

If those pools are still intact, you could dig a bit of a hole for them and the ground would help support the sides. Just make sure that the flotation ring is above ground enough that a heavy rain event won't flood into your "ponds." From the Banana plant in the background, I'm guessing your ground temps should be fairly nice for many types of fish.

no digging here mate, the grounds rock, jack hammer material
or powergel if the locals would allow it.

if i kept these inflatable pools then i would need some type of rigid support, as they are not trust worthy.

anyway, i foresee the more difficult issue is getting suitable growbeds, i'm currently thinking about bending some aquaplate or colorbond into a large trough and using that, but i haven't priced it and aquaplate doesn't seem to come non corrugated

brisbane is semi tropical, good retirement area, should do silver and jade perch well here.
oh I bbq another fresh perch from china town today, help keeps the motivation going.

back to polycarbonate (lexan to some), anyone used it for water tanks, it should be fairly biologically safe as its used for implants etc.

What about building some growbeds out of timber and lining with pond liner?

treated pine comes in 6 metre lengths, double or tripple space the frame, line with fibreboard, then plastic.

6 metre beds, cheaper than any other method, aside from digging and blasting a hole in your yard.

i was thinking along those lines, but what do you mean by double or triple space the frame.
