Thought about solar heating? can set some things up with black poly cheap and low cost to run :)

Not sure exactly what your plans are with that heater,,, but you may be better with 4 X 500 watt heaters ,, better temp consistency across the tank ,, and if 1 dies ,, no total heat loss.
