Rupe - is rectangular in shape with tops that come off. I'll take a pic for you sometime.

F&F - probably a bit harder with my stuff due to having the tops that come off - though certainly doable.

Looks like it could double as a runway rupe, maybe cover up before Elk spies it, or you may have a visitor.
Looks very nice though! Have fun. :)

how do you reach the plants in the middle? :toothy4: :toothy4: And Hydro costing versus aquaponics, which is more viable.

I have been tryng to clean the root mass out of a garden bed from broad beans, and its broken off everywhere. How important is it to get ALL the roots out, thinking it would cause anerobic conditions if not cleaned thoroughly???

Work from both sides Jessy....

Bit hard to judge so far Jessy.... I'm recycling the trays, so no cost there... probably would cost about the same new as buying a BYAP system by the time you brought new trays, pumps, plumbing etc...

And I've got a 25kg bag of concentrated powdered nutrient which should last about a year (about $200).... butr will have to dump and refresh periodically... so xxx amount of water cost.... plus net pots (cheap)....

Compared to maybe a couple a couple of 25kg bags of fish feed over the year.....
:?:

Probably about the same all up.... but less water usage, faster growth and yield(hopefully), and fish to eat.....

Most people haven't been too pedantic about it Jessy.... but have thrown a heap of worms into the growbeds to help with the breakdown of old root systems...

Where did you get the hydro stuff from?
Been playing with the NFT and air lift pump. Didn't realize the hight you could get with an air stone.
