I like that suggestion. If we use our waste water for the rest of our garden, aqua looks even better!

So, what did you go with? How is it going?
I was taught that the root area should be about 5' for growth, here the soil is so bad that it's the recommended hole and augmentation when planting trees.
If I was to do it in my aquaponic setup, I was thinking about using half a 55gal blue drum, would that be large enough? Or should I plan on building a wooden box and lining it as a planter for the trees? Personally I'd love to do a couple of dwarf trees. Specifically I'd love to do a dwarf avocado and a lime. Then I could grow my own guacamole! :-) So this is definitely of interest to me. Has anyone else done any trees with aquaponics?

Our wild mulberries taste awful, and are pretty much a pest tree. The birds eat the berries and then poop purple on the laundry hung out to dry.
