Ah, Sensei  , come a couple of weeks time, I will open the valve to 2300 more litres! And the chance of them getting to a kilo with my hungry kids around is buckleys and none! LOL

$29 each, man I'd be retiring on that!!

While staring into my tank tonight, I noticed a different looking fish. I managed to spot him a couple of times, and scooped him out for a quick look (too quick I should have sepearated him and taken photos to try and work out what it is)

I was trying to work out how it would be possible to have a ring in from a barra hatchery, but all I can guess is that they have other fish there too. I suppose he could be a barra, but was lacking the markings and was plain silver

With yer strange little one I'd suggest the neighbor jumped the fence, see that stuff on court tv all the time. Who's the daddy!
And again stay ahead of the high ammonia, I'm 100% for consistent(sp) small water changes, less work and its a gradual change. Your comming to the point you'll have to feed the lean mean mass of finger nibblers. Roughly .25 ammonia increase per day without feeding so you know its going to be faster increase when you do. It's going to be some serious water boil.
All healthy fish you got since no deaths from the transition, very sweet!
Good going.

Yeah Thanks JOhn, they all look really healthy, I would certainly go to that hatchery again. I fed them a tiny bit tonight, and they ate every last pellet. What worries me is some fish get ten pellets and most of them don't get a look in. I reckon they are completely used to me now, and I will have to start feeding them a bit, even if it means more gradual water changes. I changed out about 10% today, will do the same again tomorrow, vacuum out the tank and discharged the water onto the garden.

Okay, readings thismorning.

Ammonia somwhere between .5 and .25
Nitrite .25
Nitrates 10
Ph 7.2
Temp 24

Definately less ammonia today than yesterday, could be attributed to the 10% water change. Will not do any more water change today, see how it reads this arvo :D
Fish status: happy and well (touch wood)
