Added the crawfish today. About 80 small blue ones. :D Made a bee line for the deep end and I have not seen them since. :(

Sounds like you don't really need to add pee or urea now.

And I just got all that beer to help me. :D

Having the fish ready in Nov will give me more time to cycle. Is there a fish to crawfish poop formula? Have noticed that running all the water through only the gravel now is making the water very clear. Not enough to see the crawfish yet.

Once you have that first batch of gravel cycled, the water tends to clear up more quickly whenever you cloud it up. I learned that as I added more beds to the already cycled system. The first two beds clouded the water for over a week. Later beds clouded the water for much shorter amounts of time.

am .5 Lot of work went into this. The crawfish are helping.

The yabbies are very active of a night. Not going with the golden perch after I talked with the guy that looks after the aquafarm. Said they like there food to be alive. So it will be silvers for the first run.

Also looking at a air blower pump. They make 200 to 3000lts of air a min and can run for 20years. That means I can run 13mm black pipe all over the place and if I need some air, just patch in. Might have to read that Air pump lift hieght calculation thread now. Also open up some ideas when you have more air than you need eg using it to move water.

For the blower, I'm not sure but you might want to run larger pipe for the main trunk and punch off of it with the smaller pipe. If you restrict the flow out of those big blowers, things can get hot and they won't be as efficient if restricted too much. You will need a way to use up any extra air it is providing that you don't need.

+1, run 25mm from the blower in a straight line, and tee off to 19 / 13mm line.

What about having 10 mts of that seaper hose weighted down in the pool. That would use a lot of air and move the water around as well. :)

Seeper hose works very well - you should have plenty of air for it
