You will need a site plan done up by an engineer.
Shire/Council Approval
Installation by authorized installer.
Wiring done by authorized electrician.

Then there is no guarantee that you will get the rebate... I tried, not work my time or extra money. But that was on 2nd hand panels...

Oh... and on the eBay listing, $60 for 125 Kg postage is a tad cheap isn't it? Even it by surface mail (which takes at least 6 weeks)

Now to just find away to get it installed and claim the $8000 goverment rebate for a 1Kw system.

Hi Ron, go to: www.environment.gov.au This is the gov. website where you have to apply (for pre-approval)
Lookfor: Solar panels
then download - Guidelines for Residential Applicants & Residential Pre-approval Form
GOOD LUCK! !

IMHO ...... if you want to do any of the work yourself - the gov. will not give you a cent.

I have just applied for pre approval of a 1 kw system.

Only 1 email from Seller asking for Western Union Payment or direct into Chinese Bank account , I had already paid by Paypal, I tried a few times to contact user ( Ebay lists them as a QLD Resident),
Well after sending a few emails and ebay messages, I cancelled the PayPal payment leaving them a final message to contact me if they want to complete the sale. ( can still dream it might be true)

I really would have like them Panels to go with the Wind Generator ( I must live in the least windiest place in Vic),

Well haven't lost anything.

Cheers
Ron

I can't wait until nanosolar can catch up to world demand because at $1. per watt for complete panels it will be such a bargain! You would still need the inverter equipment and a sparkchicken. There is an online list to sign up for them when they become available.

Already have an Inverter for the Wind Generator,

Here is a site for 1Kw grid connection around about $9000 + Power meter then you get the rebate. ( so about $1000 )
The catch is you need to get another 49 houses in the area to get the install also

Hi everyone,

at the moment I'm in the proccess of buying a 1kw system for $1800 fitted. This system has been offered in our area through our local council and a steering commitee.

The company involved is called http://www.ecosmart.net.au/Package.htm. This price is on top of the $8000 rebate.

There are options ie/ to add bigger converters for future system expansion. We have a meeting with the company tomorrow night and we need 15 people to sign up to get the price.

The 15 people are needed to make it worth while for the company to visit the country area and install the systems. It costs almost $5000 more each if we were to get this done on our own.

So far we have over 130 people from our town attending the meeting so it is looking good.

God bless froggo.
