A few pics would be worthwhile Mizzie... most people running Chift Pist use larger tanks...

Sure there would be people who might like to implement it in smaller tubs/bins/tanks..

Give us a low-down on your pipe sizes as well please...

Damm I very nearly would have had the drop of the rest of the forum. Nearly gave you a call Mizzie as I was in town today. Ran out of puff so I didn't get into gear around lunch and then ran out of time.

Hi mizzie44,

I was doing some shopping at bunnings and was looking at the recycle crates. The price is ok so I was thinking of using them for most of my growbeds.

I cannot get baths cheap enough around here and the blue barrels have become very hard to get also.

The bunnings black garden ponds were expensive. The local agri shop has animal drinking troughs that were bigger, stronger, cheaper, so I may use a couple of these also.

When I get closer to setting up my system I would like to take a look at your system if you didn't mind,

God bless froggo.

Mizzie,
Still hanging out for those photos.

Froggo.
How much are the troughs. What size are they. I have been thinking of these for my own system when I expand. Would be interested in a price.

Does anyone know a good supplier of Troughs in Adelaide.

You can try Team Poly. The used to sell seconds at their Lonsdale factory but I dont think they do that now. (I regret not buying some when I saw them 2 years ago)

Hi Gilly,

the water troughs are black plastic and hold 300litres, H455mm x W1000mm. They told me they were $138 each. There is a 1900litre, H500mm x W2485mm with a 65mm drain and brass cap, 25mm high pressure float valve and ball supplied at $470.

The ones at bunnings in the garden section cost more and did not seem to be very strong. They do have those green 500litre water tanks made in italy for $79 but they had a "not for drinking water" warning on them.

I have seen others on this forum using them, does anyone know if they are ok to use?

God bless froggo
