Bunnings have 400L tanks on sale for $59, normally $79 until the 28th of August....each tank is shaped like a huge pot and includes a lid. Seems like good value to me.

Have you checked if they are safe for drinking water?

They're not the green 500L ones? Someone did research here and found they were "not suitable for drinking water" but we all figured they were just covering their butts.

I took a photo of them for the benefit of the forum but it would appear that photos are disabled unless you go through the trouble of hosting them somewhere. Can anyone suggest a simple image host for inline photos?
No idea if they are safe for drinking water but would presume they were. Would like to know for future reference.

You need to resize them to a max of 800 x 600, and 250kb. Then they attach fine :)

I use one as a sump. They are labelled 'not for drinking water' or something along those lines. I've taken the risk on this one - normally I take very few risks with my AP.

When I hit post reply, I am not presented with the option to insert or attach an image. The only option is to click on Img and host somewhere else. Is it just me and everyone else can attach photos...or has that been disabled on this forum? If we can get it turned on I'll upload the photo.

When you hit post reply you should have a section under the text box where it says "upload attachment".

I'm using the same tank that I got from bunnings. I'm not planning to drink the fish water, but I am planning to eat the fish. I have seen several members pics with these tanks. There was no sign on the tank saying not suitable for storage of drinking water.
