Hello aquaponicia,
This is Faye from Aquaponica, what a similar name! Welcome to the forum and I am afraid for what you have there is no cure, like the rest of us. You will find plenty of reading and pics to look at. Have fun :)

Aquaponicia.... and Aquaponica..... now that's going to get confusing.....

Maybe a change of name would be less confusing.....

How about "Aqua-SA"... aquaponicia..... :dontknow:

What is your buisiness?
There's plenty of Adelaide people in here, but not so many in the southern suburbs (I'm in Hallett Cove)
Come along to Scotts place on the 23rd of this month and meet everyone - Scott send this man a PM

Intergrated Backyard Food Harvesting is our direction, we are very new bussiness and are comencing a pilot program at present.

4 x 2500lt fish tanks

1200 holes in NFT system, set up in a tunnel the size of 15m x 6m

A shed which holds the fish tanks and wookshop/storage area. the total size of shed is 9m x 3.5m with the workshop/storage area being 3m x 3.5m

Pump shed is 3m x 3m which has a sump sand and biofilter with 80w UV and 2, 1/4HP pumps

At present the tunnel is still awaiting approval (sheds all built)so the fish are running without the tunnel just filtration and doing fine.

hey king erik i'm just south of u, the other side of adelaide's latest water supply or oil refinery as I will always still call it lol

And you call this a "semi-small system"? How many fish you got in there? When are you going to invite all of us around for a look?

Oh... and can you fill us in more on what sort of filtration system you're running...

Quote:
sump sand and biofilter with 80w UV
....

Am I right that you have a "sand sump"??? and an external bio-filter of some sort (UV attachment)?????

Some pictures would be nice...

P.S. ... Barramundi in Adelaide this time of year would require large amounts of heating... yes?

What sort of heating system are you running and what sort of water temps do you have your Barra in????
