Obviously you can't Chappo

In my experience... the seller wasn't interested in replacing the item... eBay suggested a "dispute" procedure... but only after 14 days... then wouldn't do anything else....

Personally I've never really had many problems with eBay.... and none with direct deposit payments...

PayPal is certainly better than it was... i.e .. it used to take up to a week for the seller to get their money... and up to ten days for it to impact on my account....'

Much faster now... but sellers I deal with seem to like a direct deposit, which I email them confirmation of.... and get their payment much faster.... and dispatch much faster...

Just don't see the "huge" benefit of PayPal... think the claims made for it's "safety" are over-stated.... and the fees paid by sellers and ultimately passed back to us buyers...

Add extra fees from the bloodsuckers at eBay.... and IMO.... eBay will go the way of other online services.... not worth dealing with...

Frankly, in terms of dispute resolution... from my experience eBay doesn't give a toss....

paypal will cover Dead On Arrival, Damage in Transit, Not getting product, Product not as discribed etc they simply take the money from sellers account and credit yours

All very well if there's funds in the sellers account to do so Nocky....

Actually... I think you'll find that it's actually illegal for PayPal (or any organisation... except the banks) to withdraw any money from anyones account... other than by direct consent...

nocky ,, five of the same item,,so only one crap product ..... bloody TATTOO machines:(
Also re paypal being the only payment method,,,NOOOO that got beaten ,, someone appealed to the Fair trade / consumer protection,, ebay ended up backing down.

I do recommend paypal for buying ,, the costs are to the seller and the protection is good.
