That's cool as Nocky. How much did your weather station cost? I bought one a while back from ebay and found that it is totally inaccurate and useless in every respect. I'd love to do what you have done and include fish tank and greenhouse temps (once I have a greenhouse that is .

As an asside, at work our cost centre gets billed for internet use of the staff, at the ridiculous cost of 10 cents per mb. A regular problem is people leaving the bureau of meterorology weather radar site up and us ending up with a massive bill due to it constantly refreshing and therefore using heaps of bandwidth. Of course it has a lot more graphics than yours so I don't expect yours would use so much mb.

Mine was $92 include postage from Ebay and is accurate with other weather devices I have, is a WH-1081 with EasyWeather software, have to run another program called Cumulus to upload weather, search EBAY for weather station with PC software, buy it now is $85 + , Join weather underground and they host there for free, hope that helps VB

Different unit to the one I bought - but same seller I'm pretty sure.

I'll go back and check my emails, but if it is the same seller, I'd never do business with again and in fact wouldn't add ammonia to the prick if he was on fire. My unit had a 12 month replacement warranty but the seller told me to get stuffed when I found the unit to be faulty both in terms of temps and precipitation.

Would love to get a unit that works. Looks like they are coming down in price big time. Got mine about 12 months back and it cost more than fancier units are available for now. Next time I might bite the bullet and buy from a conventional store - I just don't trust ebay for this stuff anymore :-(

Yep - same seller, just looked back. You have been lucky Nocky. Is very hit and miss. After I had my problems I trolled back over the feedback and found quite a few others complaining about the components being very inaccurate.

Because product was delivered, there was nothing I could do through ebay and other consumer rights are basically useless because I had no details of the sellers identity.

What... after the item has been delivered and found to be faulty....

I tried once... got no joy from either the seller or eBay/PayPal.... cos it was a completed transaction...

There is about 3 different sellers VB, but I am a member of a WA Weather Forum and heaps of people have the same unit WH-1081 and they work fine, older model WH-1080 has been going great for around 2 years now, is an expensive model called La Crosse (I think spelling correct) but this has same components as WH-1081 but cost around $300

Rupe I have never had a bad deal from Ebay, but I use Paypal, they guarantee full cover up to $20,000, and more so now as you will soon have no other payment method than Paypal, paypal will cover Dead On Arrival, Damage in Transit, Not getting product, Product not as discribed etc they simply take the money from sellers account and credit yours, but stuff that wasn't what you expected is just Tuff. You have to try every avenue to resolve you problem with seller first, then complain to Ebay who will pass onto Paypal
