EllKayBee, that MinPlus page lists copper as an ingredient. Has that been a problem?

Does too, went and checked the bag as well  - this hasn't been a problem as I only put in small doses but would build up over time

I think the difference to copper pipes would be the fish water eating at it all the time...will look into it furthers, thanks for pointing it out :D

I guess we need to look at the amount that is harmfull,.....,the copper pipes are a DEFINATE no,no.But if people are adding a few hundred micro-grammes each second day in the plant fertiliser and the fish are in it for a year,,I doubt it represents a health issue. But it's definately worth looking at,,,ummmmm I'll see what I can find on the big www.

hmmm, that's interesting. I was going to add some more Min-plus tomorrow, but I won't put any in the redclaw system now.
thanks Karen

Yep +1 OBO ,,as with most things in life, a moderate level is good,,excess kills.
The amounts in seasol etc are minute,..........
example,,,,The recommended human intake of copper is 2.5 -3 milligrammes per day. Undiluted seasol has about 0.3milligrammes per litre,,,You could drink 10 litres a day and be safe,,,yep the copper in 10 litres consumed everyday for a life-time would probably make you MUCH healthier.

In fact there has been concerns raised with the World Health organisation about copper being deficient in nearly everyones diet due to micronutrients lacking in most soils used for growing crops.

+2 Chappo great point

if we have copper in are AP systems and eat the veggies we would have a 1 up on everyone else health wise.

and true with most other trace elements.
i wish there is an easy "home test" for most trace elements. like the common pH tests we all have and love. that would be great.
