Why? I would think the smaller gravel would give more surface area for bacteria to grow and help support the plants better. What problems are you seeing with the 1/4"?

I want bigger holes between the gravel, and I also want an angular gravel so that it kind of "locks" in place. Better for walking-on.

Better for walking on?

I was talking about for the grow beds..... You must have huge grow beds :shock:
