Hmm it would seem due to my tardiness that I did miss the whole beer - Chicken anus thing... nice idea though...
Beer batter is a common thing, have you ever considered leaving half a can of beer in there to evaporate and marinade the chicken as it cooks?
I was a little concerned about the nasties painted on to the aluminimum cans... I trust though, that using indirect heat, the can is not degraded in any way?
