light and beverages in the missus's system Rupe, next to the beer shed :drunken: which is almost finished, but fountain seems to do the job and waiting to finish other projects and frosts to clear before i can expand on my system, but plans in the grey matter, have got Blue Marron on way and more Mussels and planning PVC pipe grow tubes running across tank

AHHHH didn't joke about sink ,, didn't relate it to your link. I've got a staino laundry tub sink ready for me shed ,, perfect for wasing and sterilising beer brewing components.
Also need water supply for the "still" ,, yep legal ,, for distilling water:)
Plus my JP tank will be in the shed so it stays nice and warm.

very good link Rupe and havent seen that one yet, mine aren't feeding much at all but I think it is too cold, but they are still kicking, hope to have the Blues next week so am going to sacrafice a few of the ones I have, especially the big Male that bit me, but the pellets are the go Rupe, a few of my Pygmy Perch also ceased to live and I think the Marron may have fed on those

Got a serious piece of 6" PVC, 2 mts long and capped at both ends, $10 at salvage, have some 2" square tube so will weld a frame and sit across tank, cut some holes in PVC and fill with blue metal and hopefully clay balls if I get to EB's next week, hook up water and get ready for my pumpkin experiment and also the killer tomato's so stay tuned

Have cut the top of PVC and looks a bit like a canoe, what is the best way now to irrigate was thinking of 10 trickle tubes or should I flood the crap out of it, will be using, you guessed it, blue metal, and possibly clay balls as a medium

Trickle tube will definately block - I know from experience

Put a t-piece on the end of the pipe, and half bury in the gravel, lets you see the water running. The "solids" get distributed by themselves.

If not using flood and drain, make a halo to distribute the water all the way around the edge [ ]

6mm holes in it should do.

Thanks OB, is working great as well the extra filtering is doing wonders for the tank, other veggies hanging around the tank have just started to take off, I was threatening to pull them, and then bang away they went, should of done that a week ago
