Carp can be cooked several ways and it is fatty tasting. Eastern Europeans would serve it in aspic with horseradish. We always smoked it. There is even a children's book "The Carp in the Bathtub" Before AP! In the book it is ground up into fish patties and simmered. Then served cold. Possibilities!

i went on a trip, and have caught about 50 Leuciscus cephalus cephalus, a version of carp---have some photos from there, an older man jozhe has about one hectare of ponds in different levels, it's like a playground, and he grows about 5 species, along with crayfish + he has a lot of wild birds and everything
but man....brrr the water stinks like shit i can still smell it, it's more of a swamp all togheter, some pumps would be needed hehe :D and i was surprised a little when i mentioned AP he already did his research and new something about it, i will definetly keep in touch with him(maybe even some AP thing :), because he also grows Perca flavescens and i'll be getting those next warm season(winter-trout, yeeey)

me and my brother also went fishing for crayfish, and we cought two of these http://www.ribiska-druzina-tolmin.si/ri ... cak_1.html

and it's amazing how clean is now the bottom of my FT, they've also cleaned my intake filter, awsome, i must get some photos of them for ya

will come back with more, i think it's time i do some nitrogen testing as the EC has climbed to 0.6, pH is 7.7....maybe i'll be able to grow something soon as my tomatoes aren't very pleased with the pH right now

post to you soon

will do, good to se u here ruperto!
as i hear from my family the new fish are doing great, and they'r supposed to be fast growers so i hope i'll be able to grow them out in 6 months to an edible size....to be able to catch the trout season :)

how long do carps take in AP? any info?highly appriciated!
i think i'll have to add some seasol with that urea in my system to start growing some plants, you think alike?:D

have a good day, we must follow our dreams

the fish are doing fine, had one more dead, but was not looking good for her from the beginning so, is not my fault

the new ones are doing fine, haven't noticed some big change in one week since i added them, but they eat like crazy when i feat them, all you hear is yum, yum, yum, yum everywhere hehe

did i say i added seasol and Fe and some amino and humic acids + vitamins? with the ph under 8.0 i think the plants will take on, and the shade will do them good, will see some results soon i think!

have a good day and thank you for your support!

OBO
first one:
foolishness

second one:
just couldn't find the ones u guys are mostly using, + PVC or PP is supposed to be bad for acidic enviroment...so i was worried
i will definetly find a cheaper source in the future

third: if this system was ever to be remodified or relocated i didn't want to invest in another set of fittings

so...bottom line, gotta find something else :geek:
