seriously though, (and i cant be buggered going out to check the rating) but why are we using a washing machine as an example?

i wouldn't say that in an average house they are a bulk consumer of KWhrs considering the time they run

Dishwasher maybe if it was using the electric element to heat the water or dry the dishes (neither feature i use, i find that cracking the door open just after its done allows the heat to escape and the 60C dishes dry quickly)

I use to open the door so the dishwasher would dry as well.... was OK in summer, but she used to complain like hell in winter.... :mrgreen:
