Ok

Slightly bored (?) and a few beers :drunken:
I have noticed my keyboard is starting to loose some of the key symbols (think it was me)
From the top
Q looks good W looks good. Bugger this will only do the dodgey ones.
E now a trunkated ELL
R missing the roundy bit at the top
T just a dot
O looks like a C
A missing the right hand Diagonal
D missing the top
F tiny bit missing mid top
H Missing top right and a bit in the middle

Ok this is silly may finish it, or not, when sober. So far it seems I am writing ER TOAD FH a lot.

:D You must have been really um.. un-sober. This is so boring aah!

Or maybe I don't get what you're saying.

While we are on topic, I am using a dvorak layout, not qwerty.(look up on the internuts)
Its easier on the hands. I love it. Qwerty was designed to SLOW you down, because the typewriters it was designed for would jam if you went too fast.
But for a modern computer, this is so good. The only thing that keeps people from it is their resistance to change to a new scary thing. And stuff like that.

Don't worry it takes a week or two to learn typing, then you'll love it (it's like getting through the cycling part in AP - you'll never go back later but it'll be hard the first two weeks.)

HOW TO GET IT:No keyboard needs to be bought!
It's easy, gently pop off the keys (you can use a screwdriver or steel rod as a crowbar if you wish) (almost all not-too-damn-old-really-old keyboards have removable keys) and rearrange them. Then you just change a setting in Windows so it says 'dvorak' instead of 'US keyboard' or something (I use linux though - also possible for Macs too) . Some links are here:

A funny(?) keyboard shift key FAQ I found http://linuxgazette.net/102/lg_backpage.html

Yeh, we did this stuff in psych - So long as the first and last letter are right, and all the letters are there, and the gramma is still OK, you can read it. I think it was "top down feed back", meaning the sentence so far instantly limits the number of words that would fit (grammatically and semantically) the next word, then you only need to whittle down the word to first and last character and you end up with one word left that it could possibly be. Something like that anyway.

Just to finish it off, the rest of the worn keys are (and I'm still sober-ish)
C Almost gone
B Top missing
N Almost gone
M missing just a tiny bit
And the shift key
So thats ERTOADFHCBNM, possibly in upper case.
