I was wanting to quote Gokul a page are two back when he was discussing the Indian child that was raised in U.S. quote option was acting funny when I tried.

We have friends that raise beef cattle and they give all their bull calves a good dose of Raulgrow which is a growth harmone not long after they are born. It is common practice, not one that I agree with but common. Calf is alot bigger when its time to take to the market.

I think that is the reason for the size increase that we've seen in the U.S. over the last 40 yrs. and the health problems as well.

Not everything about height is good- same amount of vertebrae in your backbone, whether you're 3 foot high or 7 foot high.
But I must admit, I'm peeved when my fiance can reach things on the top shelf and I have to get a chair or when I help him move pre-made fence panels and my end keeps hitting the ground! He's not that much taller than me but it gives him the advantage.
One thing people don't realize that being taller also means that you have longer arms as our bodies are proportionate so he has a double advantage of height and reach.

We have a 104 year old granie in the family. She said they ate meat only once a week. Fried chincken or smoke house hog or cow on sundays after church. Seem they ate almost all veggies. Stews, fried breaded veggies, boiled veggies ect ect..

These old timers who worked hard and ate mostly veggies were huge. Tall and their hands hands and fingers were much larger than my parents. Perhaps size is also a function of labor, not only feed.

Well, here is a pic of my second protein source. I could not get any closer as she is really shy after being moved and I guess having a 4 month old calf makes her extra defensive..

Now, im wondering how I am going to get her still long enough to AI her if needed..

as a side note, Sweet leaf contains about 45% protein and tastes nice too. It also grows well in AP ;)

Does sweet leaf grow in the southern US ok? This seems like a good plant to have around.
